This laptop has proven to be a very good purchase. This is the laptop I bought in the last 2 months. One for my son and one for my daughter. Both love the fact that has a small form factor, lightweight, but not as small as a netbook.
But as other commentators have pointed out, the laptop slugish seems right out of the box until the Aero is disabled and uninstalled all the crapware.

It was an exciting day in my life. I was going to have my first ever laptop purchase. Saved a decent amount of money for it (wanted to pay in cash as I’m the type that’s allergic to monthly payments and interest, even if it’s little or teeny weeny), and brought three of my friends along to the mall, specifically the electronics division.
Well, let’s just say that things didn’t turn out well the way that I imagined it to be.

I got the days when 7 + lbs laptop tired. I managed a lot of research on this little notebook and 3.1 pounds. Compromises were made in every case, but for the price, portability and battery life, you can not beat this deal. My first Acer 1410 has had a problem where the blower fan was complaining loudly, as if he touched something in - I asked for the change and the new unit is very quiet. Amazon has the exchange quickly and painlessly. I have the computer for a couple of weeks ago he was here and now are the pros and cons, as I see them:

The netbook has a gift for my 10 years of age. I wanted something very portable, but to exploit the size of the screen quite like the main computer. For them is perfect. Battery life is great. The netbook is more flat than my Acer 10.1 inches. I was very surprised by the keyboard. I can not say that I'm writing on a netbook. The keys are as big as any of the other 3 laptops that I use regularly. You get a lot for the price. The processor seems quite fast for most applications. Do not edit video with, but, however simple image editing and viewing of videos on YouTube, it's great. We had only 3 weeks, I can not, as you can hold up to speak, but now I will tell you that Acer has hit a homerun with this one.
